The museums in the 7th arrondissement

Cultural events

While staying in our hotel on rue du Bac, you will have your pick of the most beautiful museums in Paris.

The 7th arrondissement in the centre of Paris is home to a great many prestigious museums such as the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac by the banks of the Seine (30 minutes on foot from the hotel), the Army Museum in Les Invalides (15 minutes form the hotel), the Musée Rodin (10 minutes from the hotel), the Musée Maillol just 2 minutes on foot or the Musée d'Orsay (8 minutes from the hotel). Lovers of art, paintings and sculpture are sure to find happiness at the heart of the 7th arrondissement.

On the other side of the Seine, less than 15 minutes walking distance away, the Louvre Museum awaits. To get to the Louvre, take the Pont des Arts, a steel pedestrian footbridge that offers a magnificent view of the Pont Neuf and the Ile de la Cité. It is named after the Palais des Arts, the name given to the Louvre Museum during the Second Empire.

Atmosphere, light, character...

The Musée d'Orsay

On the banks of the Seine

Part of the prestigious heritage of the 1900 Exposition Universelle, the Musée d'Orsay, which is also a metro station, is famed the world over for its rich collection of Impressionist art and all forms of art from 1848-1914.
Located on the left bank alongside the Seine, the museum organises numerous events: cinema evenings, debates, conferences, visits...

A new face for this institution

Musée Maillol

a stone's throw from the hotel

The Musée Maillol, which reopened in September 2016, is home to a great many works by sculptor Aristide Maillol, as well as a substantial collection of modern and contemporary art.
The museum is located on rue de Grenelle in a mansion, the façade of which is adorned with the Fountain of the Four Seasons, constructed by Bouchardon during the 18th century to honour Paris.  Together, they are classified as a historical monument.

Pei.
